South Park Swim League Code of Conduct

South Park Swim League exists for the purpose of encouraging all children to swim in a friendly, nurturing, recreational environment. The goal of the League is to provide an atmosphere in which each child becomes excited about swimming, feels successful, and has fun.

On behalf of the coaches, team reps, and meet volunteers, South Park Swim League encourages everyone involved to practice:

Sportsmanship – Be a good winner and a good loser. For instance, handshakes and congratulations to competing teams – win or lose.

Team Spirit – Positive team spirit is welcome. Cheers, posters, and support for all swimmers, not against the opposing team or swimmers.

Commitment – Swimmers participate in practices as well as meets. Volunteers sign up to help when asked, assist when possible, show up when scheduled and stay until your job is done.

Respect – Remember that swim meets are run by volunteers. Honor decisions made by meet officials. All concerns are to be addressed to the team league rep, not the coaches, the judges, or opposing parents.
