Hi Fins families, 

With some weather possibly heading our way tonight, here is a quick rundown of how rain delays work so you know what to expect. 

What to know 

Rain alone does not cancel or delay a meet. Plan to arrive at the regular time even if it is raining. 

Thunder is the main reason a meet would be delayed. If conditions are unsafe at the scheduled start, we may push the start time back. 

If the meet has already started and weather moves in, we will try to wait it out. A delay of up to about an hour is considered reasonable before the team reps and coaches decide whether to continue, reschedule, or call the meet complete. 

If all events through the completion of IM (event 40) have already been swum, the meet counts as complete and the team ahead on points wins. 

If the meet does need to be rescheduled, the team reps and coaches will work out the new date and we will share it as soon as we know. 

We will keep you posted via Swimtopia this afternoon as we get a clearer read on the forecast and communicate with Beverly Woods East.
